Courtyard House is a ~3,000sf ground-up single-family residence with an extension, designed for a multi-generational household within a 4.7-acre date palm orchard. Organized as a low, horizontal mat building woven with courtyards, the home emphasizes indoor-outdoor living, creating shaded micro-climates that frame views of the desert and mountains. The design balances shared gathering spaces with private retreats, while the extension transforms the existing house into a flexible venue for family and events. More to come...
